Ella Rankin of Hartfield Academy, the 2021 and 2022 MAIS 6A Cross Country Champion, soloed a 5K performance faster than the 2022 MHSAA 6A Cross Country Championships. This performance, along with her 18:22 5K that she ran at the X, is perhaps two of the most impressive performances from all athletes in the entire 2022 Mississippi Cross Country season.
Addison Rainey of Ocean Springs High School executed a phenomenal race to win the 2022 MHSAA 6A Cross Country Championships, her first title in her career.
Layla Warren of Simpson Academy and Hannah Sanders of Mooreville High School were the other class champions inside of the top 10.
