It was another legendary year at the 2022 Watson High School Cross Country Classic, as eight Mississippi preps broke 16 in one race for the first time in Mississippi history.
All-MileSplit Mississippi XC No. 1 Gabe McElwain won the coveted title, as well as the week, with a time of 15:30.6, just 0.39 seconds off of his PR and seven seconds faster than Keegan Leverett's winning time from 2021.
