The 2023 MHSAA Cross Country Championships are officially in the books! From thrilling competition, races that ended in nail biter, and everything in between. 

Let's dive in and take a look at the statistics derived from the combined results from each and every classification from the 2023 MHSAA Cross Country Championships

-Pearl's JaQuavion Bryant was the fastest performer across all classifications, earning his second class title in  a winning time of 15:41.9. Bryant won by 13 seconds, and was the only athlete with a 5K performance of under 15:50. 

-There were three other athletes that broke 16 minutes in the 5K - Taylor Brown and Andrew Brown of Tupelo, and Farren Oberto hailing from Pearl - All who fall within the MHSAA 7A Classification. 

-In a meet with all of the combined results from every classification in the MHSAA, the overall winner would be Pearl High School, followed by Tupelo High School in second and Oak Grove High School in third, all of whom are in MHSAA 7A.
