At the Last Chance #3, we had another Mississippi indoor state record fall! Kingi McNair from Pearl High School had himself a day in the jump pits and walked away a state record holder.

En route to his record-breaking performance, he made a small change to his run-up. While this may deter some other jumpers, it gave Kingi confidence in his approach and he felt good going into his flight. On his first jump, he didn't quite get his footing right and landed a 22-1. On his second attempt, everything lined up perfectly. With a great run-up and a perfect leap, Kingi landed himself at 23-5.75, walking away as a state record holder.
