Returner XC Rankings: Mississippi Sophomore Boys

Mississippi's running circuit is brimming with young talent, as evident in the list of top 10 returning 10th-grade boys in the 5K cross country (XC) event. These gifted athletes, already with exceptional records under their belts, are poised to redefine the Mississippi Cross Country scene.

Leading this impressive cohort is the six-time Homeschool Champion, Henry Richardson, from the Hattiesburg Forerunners. Richardson, a prominent figure in the Mississippi Homeschool Cross Country league, holds impressive PRs of 4:42 in the 1600m, 10:20 in the 3200m, and an astounding 16:43 in the 5K, achieved at the Frank Horton Night Classic in Memphis, Tennessee. Remarkably, Richardson is the only 10th-grade returner with a sub-17 minute 5K time.
