Mississippi Returning Field Athlete Rankings

First, Sean Fairley is in a league of his own in the discus. His throw of 185-0.75 puts him nearly 20 feet ahead of the next-best thrower in the state. Even more impressive, he's already the second-best discus thrower in Mississippi history--all as a sophomore. His work with the Fairley Track Club has clearly paid off, and he's on track to challenge the state record held by Roury McCloyen, which stands at 195-11.25.

Another standout is Pearl's Kingi McNair, the top returner in both long jump and triple jump. He's coming off a stellar outdoor season and an even better indoor campaign, where he broke the indoor long jump state record. However, keep an eye on Ocean Springs' Skylan Hunter, who made major strides in triple jump during the indoor season, putting him right alongside Kingi's best marks. These two are set for an exciting battle as they compete for the title of Mississippi's top jumper.
