-Hernando's Kaitlyn Burge was the fastest performer across all classifications, earning her first-ever class title in a winning time of 18:13.4. Burge won by 24 seconds, and was the only athlete with a 5K performance of under 18:30.
-Only one other athletes that broke 19 minutes in the 5K at the MHSAA Cross Country Championships, and that was Tupelo High's Sophie Santucci, who finished runner-up at the MHSAA 7A Cross Country Championships in 18:37.3
