*Jaheim Bridges winning the 2022 MHSAA 6A Outdoor Track and Field North State Championships 1600m

Tupelo's Jaheim Bridges is set to make his season opener in the High School Boys 800m and 1600m run at the South Panola Opener, where he is the heavy favorite in both events. As the 2022 MHSAA 6A 1600m Champion and with a successful indoor season behind him, Bridges is a talented athlete who is sure to put on a strong performance in his debut.

Senatobia's JaBrysten Abram is a top contender in the High School Boys 110mH and 300mH events at the South Panola Opener, and is considered by many to be the best hurdler in the state. With his talent and ability on the track, Abram is the heavy favorite to take home the win in both events.

Senatobia's Chavarius Garrett is set sling the discus at the South Panola Opener, where he is the No. 1 seed and the reigning MHSAA 4A Champion in the event. With his past success and his status as the top seed, Garrett is a strong contender to come out on top in the event.

Senatobia's Meagan Richardson is set to compete in the High School Girls Discus event at the South Panola Opener, where she is the No. 1 seed and the reigning MHSAA 4A Champion in the event. The Senatobia, Miss. native is considered to be the heavy favorite in that event to take home the gold.
