Brock Kelly, Tupelo Christian and Cole Benoit, Pearl River have faster times but still ran very well this weekend. We know that good weather and the course at Pontotoc was capable of fast times and this weekend proved it again. Walt Johnson, Oxford beat his personal record (PR) of 16:48.80 running a 16:36.18 at Pontotoc. Mason Watkins, Picayune ran his PR at Pascagoula (L.G. Levy Park) in 16:40 giving Cole Benoit a good race. David Adams, Pearl did not run a PR but his 16:43 at Madison was his second fastest times. I believe that many runners set new PR or season best this weekend.

With her sub 18 minute run at Choctaw Trails it would have been hard for Brooklyn Biancamano, Long Beach to set a new PR but not many girls would turn down a 18:40 at Pascagoula. Addie Thompson, Oxford ran a season best time of 19:58.33 at Pontotoc to set herself to take a run at her PR of 19:38.97. Morgan Green, Hickory Flatt ran her PR of 20:28.48 beating her previous best of 21:34.20. Gracie Ferguson, D'Iberville ran her season best time of 20:30.00 at Pascagoula behind Brooklyn. Katie Meeks, Kossuth set a PR of 20:30.22 at Pontotoc. Flat courses and cool weather produces fast times.
