Dear Coaches,

Thank you for coming to our 2015 MRA Classic on Wednesday, April 8th. We hope for this to be a great meet for all involved. This year we are using Woody Barnett, Pirate Timing for timing and scoring the meet. When registering your athletes on MileSplit MS, be sure to give an accurate seed time/distance. All races will be seeded by their performance on MileSplit or their coachs entry. Division I Teams may enter two (2) participants in each individual event and one team in each relay, with all participants scoring. Division II Teams may enter one (1) participant in lane races and relays and two (2) in non lane races. Unattached competitors for DII will be a first come first serve basis in open lanes. Corrections & changes may be made until entries close on Sunday, April 5 @ 11:59 p.m.

Registration help:

Make sure that you have a MileSplit account set up as soon as possible if you dont already have one. We are also requiring a $35 dollar fee per team at this meet. For instance; 4 teams = $140, 2 Junior High teams = $70 and so forth.


PARKING: Athletes & equipment can be dropped off at the school with bus parking located at RIDGECREST BAPTIST CHURCH.

Here are a few guidelines for the meet:

Athletes are the only ones that will be allowed to bring water coolers, etc. Please spread the word that parents WILL NOT be allowed to bring coolers into the complex. Our concession stand will have water, PowerAde, nutri-grain bars, fruit, hamburgers, Chic-fil-A, Hungry Howies Pizza, etc.

The 9:00 a.m. meeting is crucial for any last minute running changes. This meeting will be under the blue tent in the infield. Scratches for field events will be made AT the field event. Please note that we will run the varsity girls and junior high boys 3200m run during the field events.

MRA Classic Meet Info & Procedures

Facility & Admission: 6 lane track. Timing will be FAT. Admission, $5 for adults $4 students. MAIS coaches card will be accepted.

Equipment: Starting blocks will be provided

Entries & Registration: There will be an entry limit of two per event. However, the top 5 individuals will score
per contest. Additionally, each school may only enter one relay team.
REGISTRATION will be online at Go to the meet calendar and find
this meet. This meet is by invitation only. Invited teams will be e-mailed a password to register their athletes.

Entry Fee: Entry fee will be $35 per team. (example: Jr. High Boys and Girls = $70)
(All 4 teams = $140) This should be paid by Monday, March 2, 2015. Schools can mail
checks to: MRA Classic Attn: MRA Track and Field, 7601 Old Canton Rd, Madison, MS 39110. NO Check is in the mail explanations on race day.

Entry Deadline: Sunday, April 5, 2015 @ 11:59 a.m.

Sanctioning: This meet will be sanctioned by the MAIS.

Verification of Entry: A printout of your entries from will serve as your verification of entry to the meet.

Clerking & Scratches: There will be no additions at the meet for running events. Field Event scratches can be made at that field event.

Awards: Trophies will be awarded to the top teams in in both girls and boys divisions. Ribbons will be awarded to the top 3 in each event.

Rules: We will use the National Federation rulebook for any disputes.

Scoring: Individual: 6-4-3-2-1 Relays: 6-4-3-2-1

Field Events: Each jumper/thrower with have 3 attempts

Appeals: Any appeal must be given to the referee in writing within 30 minutes of infractions. Appealable offenses are misapplications of NFHSA rules. Judgment calls cannot be appealed.
