The heat is pounding, and school is starting soon, which can only mean one thing: cross country is around the corner. As we prepare for the 2025 cross country season, we're going to highlight some of our top returners and who to look out for this season.
Up first are the top 100 returners based on last year's fastest times. For the girls, Lilly Overby from Simpson Academy leads the way with her time of 17:53. She is the only sub-18 runner returning and the fastest returner by almost a full minute. She had a dominant track season and will be nearly unstoppable in the fall. Behind her are Blair Britt from MRA and Alex Lee from Madison Central. Lilly, Blair, and Alex are the only sub-19 runners returning in the fall.
