HURDLES
*Javarius Molden, Hattiesburg High School
Moving onto the hurdles, Hattiesburg Senior Javarius Molden defended his 110mH and 300mH titles at the Southern Miss High School Invitational, keeping his undefeated streak alive and making it three straight races won this season.
Molden and Tylertown's Kendrell Robertson, the reigning MHSAA 3A 110mH and 300mH Champion, gave the crowd a thrilling show in the 110mH. Robertson popped out of the blocks and got the jump early before Molden eventually hawked him down and nipped him at the line. Molden came back to run a MileSplit Mississippi 1st-Team Standard of 40.65 to win the 300mH.
Meanwhile, one hour upstate at the St. Andrew's Invitational, Ridgeland's Jamari Page won his second 110mH race in a row. Page is the state leader in the event, and also currently ranked No. 23 in the nation.
