Monday Morning Recap: Competition heating up in Mississippi

The competition is heating up in Mississippi as Track and Field athletes across the state bring their best performances to the table. This past weekend saw two major meets take place, with the Rumble in the Jungle hosted by Madison Central and the Hattiesburg High Invitational, both delivering solid competition from all parts of Mississippi.

The Rumble in the Jungle lived up to its name, with athletes bringing their best to the track and field. There were 14 Mississippi No. 1 performances at the meet, making it a truly special weekend for those involved.

The Hattiesburg High Invitational also brought some incredible performances, with six Mississippi No. 1 marks achieved.

Lastly, we also saw notable performances from the Prince Jones Relays, the Goula Invitational, and meets held out-of-state, primarily in Alabama.
