Non-Gold Divisions Preview at the Watson HS XC Meet

TEAM BOYS

Saltillo High School - Silver Division

The HUGE favorites to take the Silver Division race have they essentially have their entire scoring 7 inside of the top 10, and one of the Top-5 teams across the whole state is Saltillo High School. Like Saint Patrick, Saltillo is unable to make the Gold Race due to some scheduling issues, but they will still get some good work in on the state championship course this Saturday. As a matter of fact, this could be a similar situation such as Oxford at Jesse Owens, which is that this is a low-pressure situation to go out and run - All 3 of Oxford's trio had huge breakthrough performances in that same environment. Expect Saltillo to really go after it while practicing pack running, as well as a potential automatic qualifier to the All-State XC Meet.

Saint Patrick High School - Blue Division

Although they will have a little more push-back than Saltillo in the Silver Division, the favorites to take the Boys Blue Division is Saint Patrick, who could actually potentially sweep both the girls and boys blue races. They have almost a guaranteed 1-point in their low stick Jack Hewes, and they also have a solid #2 in Dominic Patino who could finish in the top-5. Their biggest competition is TCPS, but if Saint Patrick's #3 can stick on TCPS's #3, and Saint Patrick's 4 and 5 come in close behind, that would secure the team title for the Irish. Also, watch out for them to secure their automatic bid to All-State XC Meet.
