The Raymond High School senior and Mississippi State commit remains one of the fastest 400m runners in the nation after running a new personal best of 46.72. With his second sub-47 performance of the year, Rodgers has established himself as one of the most consistent and strongest 400m runners in Mississippi history.
Jaquavion Bryant 1600m/3200m in 4:21/9:43
With a new personal best, Jaquavion Bryant ran the 8th fastest time ever in the Mississippi 1600m with his split of 4:21. Bryant not only won the 1600m but also doubled in the 3200m for another win and solid time of 9:43.
Markeith Thompson Claims Top Time in 300mH
With a strong personal best, Markeith Thompson's time of 38.21 puts him as the new Mississippi leader for the 300mH. This time ranks the Natchez junior as the 10th fastest Mississippian to ever run the event.
Alex Lopez Extends State Lead in Shot Put
Grabbing another win for his collection, Alex Lopez of Bayou Academy pushed his state lead even farther up with this 3-foot personal best at the Bayou Academy District meet. This mark ranks Lopez 8th all-time in the Mississippi shot put.
Kingi McNair Hits 23-11 in Long Jump
Pearl's jumping sensation Kingi McNair grabbed a new personal best for the second week in a row at the MHSAA Region 3-7A. McNair landed a jump of 23-11, ranking him 2nd in the state and only one-inch shy of a state lead.
Trace Hendon Soars to 14-3 in Pole Vault
The state leader in pole vault strikes again with a new personal best of 14-3. Trace Hendon from Madison-Ridgeland Academy has been undefeated the entire season in his event and no one has come close to stealing his number one spot.
