5. Mia Card - Saltillo
Card is one of the best and youngest competitors in Mississippi. During the 2020 cross country season, she posted a personal best of 19:01 in the 5k and went on to finish 3rd at the MHSAA 5A State Meet.
She is also coming off of her first-ever high school track season in which she qualified for the state meet and finished the season with a PR in the 800m with a time of 2:27. It was interesting to see that for such a strong distance talent, she primarily focused on the 400m and 800m.
Mia Card is still a very young talent and will most likely improve as she garners more experience under her belt.
