Meet Format: This meet is open to all MHSAA middle/junior high school 7th & 8th grade student-athletes. The meet will consist of three divisions (small, medium & large) determined by the 7th & 8th grade enrollment of each middle/junior high school participating (note: high enrollments are not to be used!!!) Meet divisions will be posted in early October on http://ms.milesplit.com. Team's 7th & 8th grade enrollment will be determined by the MHSAA!!!
Eligibility: This meet is open to MHSAA 7th & 8th grade middle/junior high school athletes. ONLY athletes that have competed in middle school/junior high races are eligible. Any athlete that has run on a Varsity/JV High School Squad during the 2022 or 2023 season is NOT Eligible for this meet!
Location: Choctaw Trails, Jackson, MS
Race Distance: 3000 Meters

1:00 p.m. Small School Girls
1:35 p.m. Small School Boys
2:10 p.m. Medium School Girls
2:15 p.m. Small School Award Ceremony
2:45 p.m. Medium School Boys
3:20 p.m. Large School Girls
3:25 p.m. Medium School Award Ceremony
3:55 p.m. Large School Boys
4:30 p.m. Large School Award Ceremony
Entries: Ten entries per school with only the top seven counting for scoring purposes. Entries will be done online @ http://ms.milesplit.com. Meet name: MHSAA Middle School Cross Country Classic
Team Entry Note: Schools must enter as a middle school, entries will not be accepted as a high school!!!
Entry Deadline: Entries will close at midnight, Wednesday, October 11!!!
Entry Fee: $15.00 per athlete with a maximum of $100.00 per team (boys and girls are separate)!
Make Checks Payable to: MHSAA - DO NOT MAIL ENTRY FEES, BRING TO THE MEET!
Awards:
Medals to Top 20 Individuals in each race
Classic Championship Team Trophy to winning teams in each race
Parking Fee: $10.00 for 1 person in vehicle or $20.00 for 2 or more in the vehicle!
