INDIANAPOLIS -- The No. 12 Texas Women's Track and Field team list of competitors has been determined for the 2008 indoor national championship. The Longhorns will send three individuals and the 4x400-meter relay team to the 2008 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships from Friday-Saturday, March 14-15. The NCAA released the 2008 descending order list of national qualifiers on Monday. Sprinting duo nine-time All-American Alexandria Anderson (Chicago, Ill.) and U.S. high school record holder Bianca Knight (Ridgeland, Miss.) automatically qualified in both the 60-meter and 200-meter dashes. Anderson enters her third NCAA indoor meet with lifetime best times of 7.22 in the 60 and 23.09 in the 200. Knight, in her first season on the Forty Acres, carries a personal-best mark of 7.21 and a team-leading 23.07 in the 200. Both will join All-American senior Temeka Kincy (Indianapolis, Ind.) and All-Big 12 selection Katara Rosby (Baton Rouge, La.) on the 4x400-meter relay. The group clocked a season-best 3:36.60 in taking runner-up honors at the Big 12 Championship. Sophomore thrower Jordyn Brown (Mesquite, Texas) makes her first NCAA appearance as a qualifier in the shot put. Brown, who Anderson and Knight will step on the track for the preliminary rounds of the 60-meter dash at 6:30 p.m. Both return to the track for the first round of the 200-meter dash at 7:35 p.m. On Saturday, Brown is scheduled to step into the ring at 4:30 pm.
