Another week of Mississippi cross country is in the books, so we're back to highlight more athletes through the Most Improved Series! Each week, we'll spotlight one meet and highlight athletes who made the biggest jumps compared to their performances at the same meet last year.
This week, we're featuring the Saltillo Invitational.
The most improved athlete from last year was Ava Harvell from Baldwyn High School. She improved by almost ten minutes, going sub-29.
Some other notable performances come from almost the entire Hernando team. They had three athletes improve by over three minutes and two athletes improve by over one minute. These athletes were already running competitive times, but are progressing at an extremely impressive rate.
