In the world of high school track and field, Mississippi is making noise. While this list may not be entirely accurate to the tee, it still provides a glimpse of some of the best track and field programs in the state of Mississippi.
To no one's suprise, Track and Field powerhouse Clinton High School is way ahead in this glimpse of current best indoor teams in the state. There doesn't seem to be an event that they do not have a strong presence in, and this is a strong indicator on how they compete and/or train almost year round.
Pearl High School is a distant second and are also very well-rounded, while Meridian and Biloxi are in a tight faceoff in third and fourth, respectively.
While this list may not be one hundred percent accurate as there are athletes missing, as well as athletes who would double in certain events, it still shows an overarching view on some of the best programs in the state, and especially the programs who have been putting in work in the winter months.
