Keegan Leverett

School: Saint Stanislaus High School

Events: 1600m and 3200m

Last Meet: N/A - Season Opener

Leverett returns to the racing scene after an outstanding senior Cross Country season! After his remarkable win at the 2021 Watson High School Meet in a 15:37.73 (a top 10 time in state history), the St. Stanislaus runner dominated the Mississippi Championship phase, boasting impressive wins at the Regional, State, and All-State levels. The first indoor race of his high school career will be the 1600m and is also entered in the 3200m. Expect Leverett to obliterate his track PR's this Saturday.

Javarius Molden

School: Hattiesburg High School

Events: 60H, 400m, and Long Jump

Last Meet:

With two meets under his belt for the 2022 indoor year, Molden seems to be properly warmed up for what's to come this year. The 2021 MHSAA 5A 300m Hurdle State Champion has already put up two PRs in the Long Jump and the 60m Hurdles with marks of 21-8 and 8.48, respectively. He will compete in the 60m Hurdles, 400m, and Long Jump this Saturday. Molden has stuck to these same three events all year long, surely cooking up something special in the 300mH this outdoor season.

Miguel Bankston

School: Clinton High School

Events: 400m and 800m

Last meet:

Bankston is another athlete who has ran completed a good amount of races this season. Although his last race at the Ice Breaker #2 meets in the 800 (2:08.37) might have been an off performance, the junior from Clinton has experienced tremendous success this season, knocking off a whopping 3.5 seconds and 5 seconds from his 400m and 800m last year, respectively, and is currently leading the state in the indoor 800m with a 1:59.33. Bankston is set up to have a very successful indoor year and shake back to his usual standard. He is scheduled to run the 400m and 800m on Friday.

Mikuan Sanders

School: Harrison Central High School

Events: Jumps- High Jump, Triple Jump, and Long Jump

Last Meet:

The 2-time state medalist from Harrison Central starts his senior year with the first indoor track meet of his high school career! A very overall competitor specializing in the jumps, Sanders remained high up in the State rankings all last year during the 2021 outdoor season and is like to make a strong run for the top spot this year. Sanders is set to jump for the High, Triple, and Long Jumps as well as run the 60m Dash on Saturday. Look for him to shoot for the #1 spot in the state in the High Jump.
