2021 Tupelo Invitational
Next on the agenda is the Tupelo Invitational. This is turning out to be a showdown between the top Northern schools in the state, Tupelo and Oxford High School. For the girls' it should be another tight matchup between Tupelo and Saltillo.
The Tupelo duo of Taylor Brown and Jaheim Bridges will face off against the Oxford trio of Ethan Knight, Luke Johnson, and Matthew Singletary. This will no doubt be an interesting matchup between these runners and even more so with the head-to-head battle of these two 6A giants. Most likely accompanying these runners is Cooper Parmer. He was present for this similar match-up at the Saltillo Invitational and he finished in the middle of these two packs. Do not count him out this weekend.
The race between the girls will be another throwback to the Saltillo Invitational with Kate Gann of Itawamba AHS and Brookelyn Morgan of Tupelo. These two runners duked it out in Saltillo a week ago and they finished just 8 seconds away from each other with Morgan coming out on top. We could be in store for another intense race between these two this weekend.
