MileSplit Mississippi All-State Teams: Ranking #4

HIGH SCHOOL BOYS

7. Tanner Moore - Pearl High School - Sophomore

- Last Ranking: #7

- Last Performance: 16:48 5k FTW at the George County Trail Run

- Next Race: Clinton Arrow Cross Country Invitational

Staying alive on the All-State for the 4th ranking now is Tanner Moore of Pearl. I would have liked to move him up, but with only 2 races this year, it's still hard to see where he is at. However, he has still had a solid year, finishing 3rd behind the Brookhaven duo and then coming back 5 days later to win George County over teammate Jonathan Phillips and 4:44 1600m runner Jack Hewes - big fan of this guy by the way. I would have really liked to see how he stacked up at Saltillo as literally every person on this list and more was there, but we will where he stands against high-caliber runners like Jake Thompson, Christian Parks, and William Fugate.

6. Jaheim Bridges - Tupelo High School - Junior

- Last Ranking: #6

- Last Performance: 16:50 5k, 7th place finish at the Saltillo XC Invitational

- Next Race: 2021 Tupelo Invitational

Coming back at #6 and still running consistently really well is Jaheim Bridges. Although a 16:50 5k for 7th place doesn't sound like much, this was actually a really good performance from Bridges. He was only 9 seconds away from 4th in this race and actually had to rally back and hawk down a few guys in this race. He beat some notables like Jake Thompson and Trey Knott, as well as 16:32 5k runner Ethan Knight of Oxford. It also wasn't quite the weather we wanted, and the course just got lengthened this year. However, time aside, the High School Boys race was insanely competitive this year, and a 7th place finish in this field is nothing to shrug your shoulders at.
