It did not take Jordan Anthony, Tylertown High to take over the season lead in the 100 meters. He ran into a slight headwind to clock a 10.77 at the Hattiesburg High Invitational. His teammate Jeremiah Dillon did the same thing in the 200 meters clocking 21.93.
In the 110 meter hurdles Javarius Molden, Hattiesburg High edged out Justin Nave, Clinton High 14.89 to 14.94 for the season lead. The 300-meter hurdle lead is firmly in the hand (legs?) of Jacoby Matthews, North Pike as he beat Justin Nave 40.25 to 41.18.
Niquez Wade, Pearl High put the high discus in orbit throwing 161'6" at Northwest Rankin.
