According to Christian Balcer, East Central the race yesterday was not a great day. He "only" ran 15:23.15 which is only off by less than five seconds from his personal record set earlier this year at the Watson High School Meet.

For those that do not know the best time this year at the MHSAA State Championships will be a new State Meet record as the course has changed. The old State Meet record on the old course at Choctaw Trails was set by Jake Raines, East Central on November 3rd, 2001. The overall State record time is what Christian ran at the Watson Meet.
