Anthony Del Vescovo, Saint Patrick number 4 in the ranking.
This event has become my favorite event even though I really cannot coach it myself. It combines many of the things needed by all the other events. To watch a top vaulter is to watch perfection in motion at least in my opinion.
I had the luck to watch Sam Kendricks, Oxford High while he was in high school. Even then he really was at the top athlete in Mississippi status. The picture that is on the cover is him vaulting at the Mississippi State Bulldog Invitational where he cleared 15'8". While I am not sure if the picture is from that height I will claim it. LOL Now Sam is one of the top vaulters in the world..
Richard Connor Foxworth, Saint Patrick came the closest the year after Sam with his 16'6.25" vault theat year. That vault is the State Meet Record.
