Future Stars: Shannon High School's Alexis Mosley

In this week's edition of 'Future Stars,' we highlight Alexis Mosley of Shannon High School!

Mosley is an eighth-grade sprinter in her first season of competition, and she's made an impressive debut. With her wind-aided mark of 12.18 set at the 2022 Starkville Invitational on March 29, Mosley is currently the second fastest girl in the state of Mississippi in the 100-meter dash, behind senior Kennedi Sanders. Mosley has the fastest eighth-grade mark in the state this season and is ranked fifth in the nation for eighth-graders in the 100m.

Mosley has also competed in the 200-meter dash and the long jump this season. Her long jump PR of 16-4, also set at the 2022 Starkville Invitational, ranks her first in the state among eighth-graders in the event.

With such a strong start to her track career, it will be exciting to see what Mosley achieves in the remainder of this season and in the years to come.
