A Track & Field Officiating Clinic is being offered to those of you who are interested in hosting or officiating track meets of all levels (High School, Junior High/Middle School, College or Youth Club.)

REASONS FOR OFFICIAL CERTIFICATION
1. Coaches become more knowledgeable about the rules.
2. Better quality of officiating (certification) at our meets.
3. Reduces protests and arguments concerning the rules.
4. Improves the professionalism of our meets.
5. Reduces time meet host needs to explain rules to inexperienced officials.
CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
1. Purchase a current USATF Membership Card. A membership card may be purchased online, with a credit card, prior to the clinic at www.usatfmembership.org/membership/application/index.asp. The cost of the membership is $30.00 for one year or may be purchased at a discount for multiple years.
2. A mandatory NCSI background check is required. Go to www.usaft.org/officials/, click on officials on the right, then click on background check on the left, press start application. You can do it online prior to the clinic.
3. Pay a one-time Officials Certification fee of $35. It is good for 4-years. You will receive copies of rule books, worksheets, rule book or jump drive/CD. On day of clinic pay with Cash or Check, make check payable to USATF Southern Association. You may pay on the day of the clinic.
4. Take Safe Sport Training Course (https://trainingteamusa.org/s tore/detail/1) may be done online prior to the clinic or take the training at the clinic. It is a free class.
5. Attend a clinic/training class.
6. Take and pass an open book review rules test.
