Region 4-4A
Nina Labue let the way in the girls race on the way to her 4th Region/District crown. She was disappointed that she did not reach her personal best but still thought she had a good race. Nina's effort though could not stop West Lauderdale from winning another Region Title. Northeast Lauderdale's Middile School dominated line up took 2nd place over Newton County 49 to 52. Northeast had 3 8th graders, 3 7th graders and 1 9th grader in their top 7 runners.
In the boys race Dewayne Partridge of West won over Caleb Vaughn of Newton County 18:06 to 18:09. But Newton County took home the Region Title 30 to Wests 36.
