COURSE DESCRIPTION: Historic Choctaw Trails has been reimagined and redesigned to host the Souths best cross-country experience for everyone including athletes, coaches, and spectators. With ample parking for fans, shaded team tent areas for coaches and athletes, and designated restrooms for both, Choctaw Trails provides everything needed to experience cross country at its finest. The course boasts a starting line big enough to safely accommodate 40 teams and every step will be run on grass. A 30+ foot width at all points, the course affords front-runners, mid-packers, and come-from-behind strategists alike a safe opportunity to compete. Course markings can be found at every kilometer and every mile, and multiple clocks make it easy to track athletes times. The last 800m is sure to inspire as it loops adjacent to the finish line, and two sets of bleachers line the final stretch to help spectators cheer athletes through the finish line. From the improved course to the electric atmosphere, Choctaw Trails delivers the ultimate cross-country experience.
