Mississippi Performer of the Week: Sept. 23-29

Jaquavion Bryant - Pearl High School: At the Clinton Arrow Cross Country Invitational, Jaquavion won the varsity boys race in a time of 15:47, ranking him fourth overall in the state.

Preston Mundy - Olive Branch High School: At the Mustang Stampede Invitational, Preston placed second in the varsity boys race with a time of 15:56, ranking him fifth overall in the state and first overall in MHSAA 6A. This race was a 40-second personal best for Preston and his first time breaking the 16-minute barrier.

Grayson Taylor - Oak Grove High School: At the Simpson Academy Invitational, Grayson won the varsity boys race with a time of 16:11, ranking him sixth overall in the state. Five days later, Grayson won the Gatorland Invitational with a time of 16:15.

Evan Hallford - Neshoba Central High School: At the Clinton Arrow Cross Country Invitational, Evan Hallfortd placed third in the varsity boys black division with a time of 16:24, ranking him second overall in MHSAA 6A. Two days prior, he won the MHSAA Red-White-Blue Run with a time of 17:41.
