In the world of Mississippi middle school distance running, this week's Future Star is one who defies expectation with her astounding performance.

Blair Britt, a sixth-grader at Madison Ridgeland Academy, is proving to the world that age is but a number. Boasting the poise and skill of a seasoned veteran, Britt is swiftly carving a path for herself in the realm of athletics, one race at a time.

Britt's achievements are nothing short of spectacular. She holds remarkable personal bests of 5:43 in the 1600m and 12:15 in the 3200m, good enough to rank first in both distances among Mississippi sixth-grade girls.

Bringing her Hollywood 2023 season to a resounding conclusion, Britt clinched the top spot at the MAIS 6A Junior High Championships in the 3200m and wasn't far behind in the 1600m, where she secured a commendable bronze medal. Her talents don't stop at the track, however. They also extend to the cross-country course, where Britt continued to turn heads.

At the 2022 MAIS 6A Girls Cross Country Championships, Blair Britt showed an impressive performance at the varsity level. Going toe-to-toe with older and more experienced athletes, she secured an impressive fifth-place finish.

Blair Britt's journey is not just about her success - It's about a young, determined athlete who dares to challenge her limits, going above and beyond what's expected of her grade.

As we continue to witness her journey, one thing is clear: Blair Britt isn't just coming up in the sport; she's sprinting full speed towards a future teeming with promise and glory.

Stay tuned as we continue to chronicle the remarkable journeys of Mississippi's young and emerging athletic stars in our next edition of Future Stars Friday!
