Brandon High School's talented sprinter Addison McLaurin has officially signed with the University of Southern Mississippi. As one of the most versatile sprinters in Mississippi, McLaurin has shown exceptional prowess in various sprint events ranging from 100 to 400 meters.

Currently, McLaurin holds impressive rankings in the state in multiple events. She is ranked fourth in the 100m dash, second in the 200m dash, and third in the 400m dash. Additionally, she has four wins out of five competitions this season. Her consistent performance and potential make her a strong contender to secure podium finishes in all three events at the upcoming 2023 MHSAA 6A Track and Field Championships.

McLaurin's exceptional skills have not gone unnoticed, as she is the reigning MHSAA 6A Champion in the 200m dash.
