Clinton's Maxiumus Littleton to University of Southern Miss.

Clinton High School's Maxiumus Littleton has officially announced his commitment to continue his academic and athletic career at the University of Southern Mississippi. 

Littleton, who currently ranks inside the top five in all three of the jumps categories in Mississippi, will be joining the Golden Eagles' team in the Fall of 2023.

Maxiumus Littleton leads the Mississippi High School Boys High Jump rankings with an impressive mark of 6-8, placing him as a formidable competitor within the state.

He also ranks second in the Triple Jump and fifth in the Long Jump. Though his top-end talent is great, Littleton has proven his consistency by securing three wins and six top-two finishes across seven competitions.

At the 2022 MHSAA 6A Track and Field Championships, Littleton clinched the silver medal in the Triple Jump and the bronze medal in the High Jump, earning him recognition as one of the state's premier jumpers.

At this year's Southern Miss High School Invitational, Littleton showed up and showed out at his future training facility, further solidifying his reputation by earning the Field Performer of the Meet award. His achievements have not gone unnoticed by the University of Southern Mississippi, which eagerly anticipates welcoming him into their ranks.
