This week's edition of MileSplit Mississippi Future Stars features Jeremiah Barnett of Clinton High School!

Barnett is a seventh-grade sprints sensation that has stormed onto the Mississippi Indoor Track and Field scene. With a 7.15 60-meter dash that was run at the Martin Luther King Indoor Classic, that not only leads United States in the Seventh Grade Boys 60-meter dash, but is also the No. 4 time in history for Barnett's age group. The Clinton seventh-grader is also currently the No. 4 ranked 60-meter runner in Mississippi, regardless of age.

This is a phenomenal feat for the Clinton seventh-grader. As his career is still very young, there is not much to gauge on, but there is a more than likely chance that Barnett will make a huge difference on the varsity level on relays, and maybe even make a run to the 2023 MHSAA 6A Track and Field Championships.
