Sterling Scott rebreaks Mississippi HS Boys Indoor TJ record

GAINESVILLE, Fla. --- Starkville High School's Sterling Scott rebroke his own Mississippi High School Boys Indoor Triple Jump record by almost a foot. Scott jumped 47 feet and 9.25 inches to win the Jimmy Carnes Invitational held in Gainesville, Florida.

This incredible feat solidifies Scott's position as one of the top high school track and field jumpers in the nation.

In addition to his Triple Jump victory, Scott also won the Long Jump with a mark of 22 feet and 6.25 inches, which meets the MileSplit Mississippi 1st-team standard. The University of Missouri signee and Adidas Outdoor Nationals Triple Jump Champion has decided that he will close out his season at Adidas Indoor Nationals.

Currently, this puts Scott at No. 9 in the nation in the Triple Jump, as well as No. 40 nationally in the Long Jump.
