BIRMINGHAM, Ala. --- Clinton High School's Meagan Womack made history for the second time this indoor season, this time at the 2023 Ice Breaker, where she broke her own Mississippi High School Girls Indoor Shot Put record with a throw of 42-5. This is another national-caliber mark from the Clinton, Miss. native as she surpassed her own previous record by a mere one inch. If that statistic wasn't good enough, she now owns the top three farthest throws in Mississippi High School Girls Indoor Shot Put history.

This is Womack's second time breaking the record this season, and she continues to dominate in the Shot Put. She won the meet at the meet, remaining undefeated, and actually broke the Ice Breaker meet record for the High School Girls Shot Put.

Womack's impressive track record makes it clear that she is a force to be reckoned with in the shot put. She has signed to compete in Track and Field at Mississippi State University in the Fall of 2023, and it is clear that she has a bright future ahead of her in the sport.
