In this week's edition of 'Future Stars,' we spotlight Centreville Academy's, Kameron Willson!

An eighth-grader competing in his first official outdoor track season, Willson made an impressive debut at the Silliman Warm-Up Meet on March 3. Willson clocked a time of 2:07.12 in the 800-meter run, which is the fastest eighth-grade mark in the state so far this season, the all-time fourth-fastest eighth-grade mark in Mississippi, and the fourth fastest eighth-grade mark in the nation currently!

A versatile athlete, Willson won all six events he competed in at the Silliman meet: the varsity 800m, the JV long jump, and the 4x100m, 4x200m, 4x400m, and 4x800m relays.

With a strong start to his eighth-grade season, Willson has established himself as an athlete to watch, and we look forward to seeing what he accomplishes moving forward.
