The High School Boys 100m Dash, one of the MileSplit Mississippi featured events at the 2022 Clinton Season Opener, is off.

Madison Central's Ashton Smith, the 2021 MHSAA 6A 100m State Champion, and Clinton High School's Omari Hampton, the #2 ranked freshman in the 60m dash in 2022, were the pre-race favorites. However, coming out of the drive phase, Clinton's Kyler Hutton finds himself to be in it, and even looking to have a slight edge.

And man, is he excited or what? As I have said time and time again, I love to see my predictions get proven wrong. And while I may not have been as pumped as Hutton, I was still pretty excited to see these three studs go at it, and am looking forward to more matchups with these three in the future.
