In this week's edition of 'Future Stars,' we spotlight Clinton High School's, Aiden Knox!
Knox is an 8th-grade sprinter who has started the 2022 outdoor season off with a bang. At the first meet of the season, the Clinton Season Opener on Feb. 12, Knox broke the 8th-grade state record in the 100m dash with a winning time of 11.13, a mark which would have won the meet's high school 100m as well. Knox also won the middle school 200m dash at the same meet with a time of 24.89, winning the race by over a full second.
Knox had a successful 7th-grade outdoor season in 2021. He placed in the top three in the 100m dash in all of his regular-season meets and went on to compete in the AAU Junior Olympic Games in the summer, where he medaled in both the 100m (with a second-place finish) and 200m (with a third-place finish).
With such a strong start to the 2022 outdoor season, Knox has established himself as a key member of Clinton High School's sprints squad. It will be exciting to see what he accomplishes this season and throughout the rest of his career.
