Non-Gold Divisions Preview at the Watson HS XC Meet

INDIVIDUAL GIRLS

Layla Warren - Simpson Academy -- Silver Division

Entered to race for the first time since August is former All-State member and MSAIS stud Layla Warren of Simpson. Warren's only 2 races of the season were two 2-mile wins in late August. Warren has had some slight trouble with injury this season but looks to be back in action in the biggest meet of the season at Watson this weekend. If she is in 100% form, Warren could be a sleeper pick to take down the Silver Division this weekend.

Lucy Littlejohn - French Camp High School -- Blue Division

One of the best small-school runners in the state, going for the win in the Blue Division this weekend is Lucy Littlejohn from French Camp. Littlejohn is one of the most consistent runners in the state - She has had 4 races this season, winning 3 of them and taking 2nd in the other. This weekend will be the biggest test for her, but expect a huge 2nd half from Littlejohn and try and take the win, as well as scoring as low as she can for her team.

Emma Hall - Corinth High School -- Silver Division

The final High School Girl to be previewed is the MHSAA 4A powerhouse Corinth High School's low stick, Emma Hall. Hall just recently had a huge run at the 2021 2021 Pontotoc XC Invitational, where she placed 6th place in 20:24 for 5k, obliterating her previous 5k PR. Going off of this year's SB, Hall is the #2 seed behind Crouch, and with the momentum she has from last week's race, don't be surprised if you see her up front at Watson this weekend.
