Aubry Britt at Ole Brook Invitational

On the girl's side, all eyes are on talent from the coast, and the number one ranked runner in the state, Brooklyn Biancamano. Biancamano is opening up up her season after a solid track season, which included 2 state titles and an 11:10 heat win in the 3200m at RunningLane Track Championships. She is the #1 seed by well over a minute - the last time she was on the grass was her state championships, which she won in an 18:15 over 3200m state record holder Madison Jones. It will be very exciting to see what kind of shape Biancamano is in for her senior season.

Also representing Mississippi is Aubrey Britt of Loyd Star. She handily won her season opener at the Ole Brook Invitational. She opened up her season with a 21:33, but we could be in store for a faster time this weekend with competition coming in from out of state.

Representing Louisiana is Gracie Pepitone of Parkview Baptist and Cheyenne Olson of Parkway High School. This meet will be the beginning of each of these teams' cross country seasons.

Pepitone returns to Choctaw Trails after competing in the 2020 Watson High School Meet and finishing in a time of 21:25. Olson has not competed at Choctaws Trails prior to this race, but she has a 3 mile personal best of 20:34.

Finally, keep an eye out for 7th-grader Hendrix Eldridge of Saint Aloysius HS. This young talent has demonstrated a natural talent for running by collecting a personal best of 21:52 as just a 6th-grader. She also finished 7th at the 4A MAIS XC State Championships during that time as well. Recently she opened up her season with a 22:32 at the Jackson Prep XC Invitational.

This is the premier meet of the weekend folks, and we hope you can come out and support! MileSplit Mississippi will be there to give official coverage of the meet - pictures, race videos, and interviews - so we got you covered if you are unable to be there
