Next up is Tupelo's Taylor Brown. You may recall this name as one of the top 8th graders in the nation in Cross Country last year. Brown also ran well in the track season and garnered himself a new personal best in the mile, a 4:43 at RunningLane. Brown's other top finish of the season came from the MHSAA 6A 3200m with a 5th place finish.
During this past cross country season, Brown managed to place within the top ten at the MHSAA 6A State Meet coming in at 7th place. Brown was only 1 of 5 8th-graders in a field of 139, and he still managed to pull off this feat.
It will be interesting to see how Brown's high school career will unfold, as he has already made an impact on the field while still being in middle school.
