Let us look at few super athletes for today. I know I will miss a few because there are so many competing today. We will start with Jordan Anthony, Tylertown High 10.33 and 21.88 he could take a shot at the overall state records in both events. Christian Balcer, East Central 1:55.01, 4:12.41 and 9:13.11 as super distance athlete. I have heard rumors that he might just take a shot at being the first Mississippi at breaking 9 minutes in the 3200 meters. Camrun Norman, Hattiesburg High can he take a shot at the overall meet record in the high jump? That will be the question.

Madison Jones, Saltillo High 800 and 1600 meters can she give Cory McGee's, Pass Christian records a scare? Brooklyn Biancamano, Long Beach another distance runner did the extra time give her a chance to recover from her injuries. Lenasia Drummond, Hattiesburg High the question here is can she win all of her events?
The meet is a little bittersweet as it will be the last for me as the heard of MileSplit Mississippi. After 14 years I am stepping down to let the next generation take over. I hope all you coaches out there will give Chris Webber the support you gave me. Never fear you will still see me at Cross Country and Track meets around the state camera in hand.
