Kaylin Robinson, Terry High leads all girls returning from 2019 ranking with a 57.91 then it is all the way down to Class 1A for Zakiya Dotson, Ethel High for second place with 58.55. There are a total of only six girls under one minute returning from 2019.

Looking at the short 2020 season only Brooklyn Biancamano, Long Beach was able to get in a rare open 400m running 59.90.
