At this point many schools in Mississippi have extended or shut down for the next week (March 16-20). Decisions will be made whether to extend that will be made during this time. It is reported that the Mid-South Association of Independent Schools has cancelled all spring sports at this time however, I cannot find a link on the website to confirm this. The Meridian Star reported that all MAIS schools and sports are suspended. Link to the Meridian Star Report.
The Mississippi High School Activities Association Executive Committee will meet Monday morning to discuss the Spring Sports. Follow what is going on at the MHSAA on this link. At this time most schools are also suspending all practices and activities.
