Gracie Ferguson, D'Iberville has the top Senior time returning for cross country 2018 but she needs to peak at State or post season if she wants to prove that she belongs there not just by time.
Returning Gatorade XC Player of the year Katelyn Cartwright is one of those that are chomping at her time. Katelyn Cartwright, Hernando proved her strength and competitiveness by winning the Class 6A State Championship over a wet and muddy Choctaw Trails course and she returns this season to prove that is was not a fluke. Claire Pinter, Pearl beat Katelyn at Jesse Owens but could not repeat that at Class 6A State. Caroline Mattox, Starkville is one of those runners that could upset the entire Senior class and beat all of the above runners. Then there is Hannah Pinter. Pearl and Clare's twin who if she can get in a full season of training might just show us all what she can do.
