          5)   Favorite quote- Be the best version of yourself that you can be

          6)   How did you get involved with the sport? i've always enjoyed running and jumping when I was little, and when I was at my brother's baseball games I'd run around the track.

          7)   What is your favorite race and why? My favorite race is the 100m hurdles. I enjoy how close the hurdles are together and the challenge to beat your competition to each hurdle.

          8)   How do you look at being ranked as the top in the state in your event? I honestly don't think about my ranking and I just show up at the meets and run my races.

          9)   Do you have a specific motivation? My motivation is to either beat or match my personal records or State/Overall records.

          10)   What has been your biggest challenge in the spot? Staying fresh while balancing school and  Rush (select soccer) and cleaning up my form in the hurdles.

          11)   What do you hope to achieve in the future? Hold the Overall records for the 100 and 300m hurdles and graduate and start as a freshman at Ole Miss for soccer.

          12)   How do you hope to achieve the rest of the season and at State? I want to hold the record for the 100m hurdles and beat my record for the 300m hurdles.

          13)   Walk us through a race for you (from pre race until post race) At the beginning of the race, I just focused on going through my routine. I warm up going over a couple hurdles and make sure my form is clean and my trail leg is fast. When they blow the whistle to start, I fix my blocks and ease back into them. I slow my breathing and focus on a quick start and clean form. I think about getting a quick lead and finishing the race strong. While I'm running I can hear the coaches yelling at me to run and I can hear my friends cheering me on. I am very relieved when I finish the 300m hurdles and look at the time to see when my next race is and then discuss with my coaches how I could have improved my flight.

          14)   What goes through your mind? Honestly, I think to myself "you better not lose!"

          15)   Do you play other sports? How does track help you with other sports and vice versa? Yes, I play select soccer and am committed to Ole Miss to play soccer. Track keeps me in shape and is a fun way to get fitness in.

          16)   How do you look at being top-ranked in the state? As previously stated, I don't think about how high or low I'm ranked. I run my race and focused on the goals/challenges I've set for myself.

          17)   How and when did you start training for track and field this season? I start training for track at the start of the year. I play year around soccer, so I already come into the season in shape and just have to get back into the grove.

          18)   What do you enjoy the most about your team? They are always energetic and are really fun to be around. We constantly are laughing and messing around, but when we need to be serious and focus we can settle down and do great.

          19)   What do you feel you have learned from your coaches, teammates, and other sports? My coaches have taught me how to improve my hurdles, long jump, and relay handoffs. They always are pushing me to be the best and setting goals for me to reach. My teammates are very supportive of me and make track much more enjoyable. My other sport, soccer, probably is the most beneficial to me. It provides me with the endurance and the self discipline to succeed in track.

          20)   What would you like to see happen in the future in the sport? I'd like to beat the records I've set and continue to improve my times.

          21)   If there is one thing in the world you could do. What would it be and why? I would love to travel around the world and sight see all the unique landscapes and learn about the different cultures and religions.
