Interview with Amber Koch, Ocean Springs High School

An Interview with Amber Koch

by DP Daigle

Amber Koch is a sophomore on Coach Timothy Sayers Greyhound Cross Country Team. In her young career she has accomplished much, both in Track and XC. She finished 6th at the State Cross Country Meet in 2013 and followed that up with a 5th place finish last year. Currently, Amber has the 5th best 5K time run in 6A this year. On the track, she runs the 3200, the 1600, 800, and the 400. She has qualified for the State Meet in the 3200, and 1600 both in 2014 and 2015. Her best finish at the State Meet was 6th in the mile in 2015 and 6th in the two mile in 2014. She is currently the top runner for the Greyhounds, who are ranked #2 overall. Ocean Springs girls' team is also the defending 6A State Champion. Amber and her teammates are set up for a showdown against Starkville on Saturday. I had the chance to pick her brain a little bit, here's what she had to say.
