Kate at last years Brooks Meet.
Kate is a junior this year but has been competing in the 5K races for her entire career starting in the 7th grade. During her 7th through 10th grade years she competed in 4K races here in Mississippi and 5K outside the state. Its Brooks Spike Week go to link to view.

Kate Mattox Class of 2017 Progression. At the level she runs at sometimes you will see a slight drop off as in her best time last year run at the Mississippi Class 5A State Meet. In 2013 she ran post season in the Foot Locker South race where the competition level is very high. Her 2011 and 2012 times were run at the Jesse Owens Classic in Alabama.
